Our Departure services
- Pick up by truck: Our logistics network covers all of Asia, making it easy for you to manage all your product pickups, whether you're buying electronics in Shenzhen, China or handicrafts in a remote Thai village.
- Storage service: DocShipper offers storage services, a valuable option to consider, particularly when purchasing from multiple vendors, as it allows you to organize your orders and save on future shipping costs. Our goal is to provide high-quality services while minimizing logistics expenses whenever possible.
- Export declaration and FOB: Our team will transport your goods to the departure port or airport for the export declaration process. This is a mandatory procedure for international transportation, in which local authorities (customs) must be notified of departures from the country. Our team handles this process directly in designated areas of the port or airport.
- Packaging service: Asian suppliers often do not meet international shipping standards, making it difficult for them to work with companies like Amazon. At DocShipper, we ensure that all shipments are properly packaged according to international standards, including using cartons, bags, wooden boxes, and palletization.
- Obtaining licenses and certificates: The process of obtaining licenses and certificates can be tedious and time-consuming when buying in Asia due to international standards, especially when dealing with foreign languages. DocShipper assists clients through the process, provides guidance, and ensures all necessary documents are in order before shipment. In case of a supplier's inability to provide the required documents, we advise clients to reach out to us for help in finding a new provider.
- Rail freight: In the United States, rail transportation is becoming more competitive, particularly for shipments arriving from China. It offers a balance between the cost-effectiveness of sea shipping and the speed of air shipping. When large volumes of goods need to be shipped and specific deadlines must be met, rail transport can be the optimal choice. The US has a vast rail network that connects major cities and ports, such as Chicago, Los Angeles and New York making it an efficient option for shipping goods.
- Sea freight: Marine freight is a popular method of transportation in the United States, particularly for large quantities or orders. Orders with a volume greater than 2 cubic meters (CBM) or 300 kg are often shipped by sea, as it is more cost-effective and faster than air freight. The US has a large network of ports such as Los Angeles, New York, and Miami that are well-connected with major ports worldwide to facilitate the marine freight.
- Air freight: Air freight is a common method for small quantities of merchandise (usually less than 2 CBM) in the United States. It is distinct from express freight. This method typically utilizes available capacity on traditional airline companies such as United Airlines, American Airlines, and Delta Airways, as well as courier companies like DHL, FedEx, UPS, and Aramex. Air freight in the US is subject to strict regulations, such as the prohibition of certain goods deemed dangerous. The transporter will determine the most appropriate weight between volumetric weight (based on 1 CBM = 167 kg) and gross weight.
- Express freight: In the United States, express air freight is a popular option for small shipments. It utilizes available capacity on traditional airlines such as United Airlines, American Airlines, and Delta Airways. This method also employs direct courier companies, such as DHL, FedEx, and UPS, to handle packages from departure to arrival. Express air freight is highly recommended for orders under 150 kg as it is cost-effective and fast.
- Custom clearance: In the United States, customs clearance is a mandatory step in international shipping, but it can also be the most challenging. DocShipper ensures that all shipments comply with the regulations of the destination country to prevent any delays at customs. If there are any concerns about the products' compliance, we will not proceed with the shipment immediately or seek an alternative solution. This ensures smooth clearance of goods and prevents any unexpected issues at the customs.
- Final delivery: DocShipper will handle delivering your shipment to its final destination using a courier service. Our specialty is the “door-to-door” service, a logistical solution that combines all of your needs into one convenient package. This service is rare and difficult to find, as most transit airlines discontinue operating after they no longer cover their territory (for example, a US transit airline usually only covers the US and Canada). To save money at this stage, clients can drop off their shipment at the port or at the arrival airport.
From Camporosso, in Northern Italy, DocShipper can offer a cost-effective and high-quality distribution solution for your products through e-commerce. We specialize in providing efficient and reliable logistics services that can help you reach your target market quickly and at a reasonable cost. Our experienced team is dedicated to providing personalized services to ensure your products are delivered to your customers on time and in perfect condition.
Warehouse Services: Offering efficient and reliable logistics services is crucial to meeting customer demand in the United States. A favorable location, such as a major airport, is also an important factor in making sure your products are delivered to your customers on time and in perfect condition.
- Entry and exit management: When goods are received, our specialized team will properly store them on shelves according to their reference, creating an organized and easily accessible inventory. Additionally, DocShipper’s database is constantly updated to show clients the real-time movement of their inventory, giving them visibility on what goes in and out of their stock.
- Preparation of orders: Clients provide orders with the necessary information, through spreadsheets or email. Once received, DocShipper will begin preparing the order. Depending on the order, DocShipper may also offer a consolidation service to help clients group and combine smaller orders into a larger one. This can help save on shipping costs and reduce the number of shipments.
- Reconditioning: DocShipper is dedicated to maintaining a positive image and ensuring the quality of final products. In some cases, suppliers may package products together, but DocShipper will repackage and organize them based on characteristics to ensure maximum safety during shipping. The costs for this reconditioning are already included in the management fees for incoming and outgoing products.
- Delivery: Thanks to our strategic location, DocShipper is able to provide fast and affordable delivery across Europe. We also offer services for clients outside of Europe.
- Storage: DocShipper's 3PL service includes a storage service to support the supply chain. Products will be strategically stored to optimize order preparation.
- Note: The stock does not belong to DocShipper, we are only responsible for arranging service providers for our clients.
- Returns management: DocShipper offers return services, allowing products to be returned to their original state prior to delivery. Clients have the option to choose between two return policy options: ECO (basic return management) or PREMIUM (advanced return management).
